From 24 November to 22 December 2025, we’re improving levels 1 and 3 of Central Library and adding 80 fresh new study spaces on Level 3!

During these upgrades, levels 2 and 4 of Central Library will be open as usual. Levels 1 and 3 and the link between Central Library and the Duhig Tower will be closed. There will also be some changes to library services and access to collections during this time.

Thank you for your understanding and patience while we freshen these spaces up.

Work impacts

There will be noise, vibrations or adhesive smells at times during the works.

You may like to bring a set of noise-cancelling headphones.

Let us know if the works get excessively noisy or you notice anything that could be a safety concern.

You may prefer to visit one of our other library spaces during this time, including:

  • Architecture and Music
  • Biological Sciences
  • Dorothy Hill Engineering and Sciences
  • Duhig Tower
  • Walter Harrison Law.
