Your printing account

Access your print account

You can access your account from any Library computer or from your own device.

Log in to the UQ Virtual Private Network when you are off campus.

Access your print account with your UQ ID (e.g. s1234567) and password.

Log in to your print account
Guests can sign in using their print/copy account details.

When using our computers, you can check your balance in PaperCut. To log in:

  1. Click on PaperCut.
  2. Look for the access/top-up account link.
  3. Log in and manage your account.

Top-up your credit

  1. Choose your recharge amount – for example, an online top-up of $5.

  2. Provide your debit or credit card information and click Pay Now.

  3. Once your payment is accepted, you’ll receive a receipt (your credit should be available immediately, although it might take up to 30 minutes or more to appear).

If you need help, email printing@library.uq.edu.au or contact us. Please include your name, student number, and receipt number. 

View recent print jobs

Click on Recent Print Jobs within your account to access your print job history. You’ll find a detailed history of your print jobs including:

  • the type of service (e.g., printing, scanning, or copying)
  • whether the print job was completed successfully
  • the cost associated with each print job.

Request print refund

For a printing error

To request a refund for an incorrect charge from a print service error, such as a paper jam:

  1. Go to your print account and click on Recent Print Jobs
    Visit Access your account (above, on this page) to login.
  2. Locate the specific job that needs a refund and click Request Refund
  3. Provide detailed information about the printer error or issue that led to the incorrect charge and press Send.

Your print job status will change to Refund Pending on the recent jobs page. If it's successful, we’ll review your request and automatically refund your credit.  

When finishing your studies

If you are completing your studies, you can request a refund of your remaining print credit. Depending on how long ago you purchased the credit we will refund the money:

  • to the debit or credit card used for the purchase
  • into your bank account.

Submit the Refund library print credit form. Have handy your:

  • UQ username or print card number
  • receipts or receipt numbers.

Most refunds are processed within four to six weeks.

Transfer print credit

You can transfer credit to other users. The credit is available immediately.

  1. Click Transfers in your account menu.
  2. Enter the amount to transfer.
  3. Enter the student number (e.g. s1234567). Check this carefully. You will not be asked to confirm the transaction.
  4. Add a comment as a record.
  5. Click Transfer.
