The University of Queensland Archives

Purpose

The University of Queensland Archives (University Archives) collects and preserves University records of enduring value. The permanent records date back to the University's incorporation in 1909, and from 1897 for the Queensland Agricultural College, now UQ Gatton. 

The University Archives operates in line with the Archives Policy.

What's in the Archives

The University Archives is an authoritative source of information about the University and its people. The collection includes:

  • administrative records
  • committee minutes
  • student and staff records
  • university publications.

Notable holdings include:

  • Senate and Senate Committee minutes and administrative files
  • photographs, films, sound recordings and digital material
  • maps and architectural plans.
