New courses and programs
Consult with the Library
Consultation with the Library should be part of the proposal process for new and revised courses and programs.
By consulting with the Library, you can help us ensure we have the necessary library resources and services to support teaching and learning for your course.
How to consult with us
- Email newcourseproposal@library.uq.edu.au at least 2 weeks before the documentation is required for your submission, with a link to the course or program proposal in Jac.
- Include a list of any required or recommended learning resources. Our Faculty Services Librarians can work with you to identify the availability of these resources in print and electronic formats and to identify additional resources including open educational materials. The librarian team can also recommend library resources and services to support the development of Graduate Attributes.
The University Librarian will send a letter to the relevant Associate Dean (Academic) indicating the Library's ability to support your course or program. You will receive a copy of the letter.
Contact the Faculty Services Librarians for more information.
