About the Library

Learn more about our people and what we do.

Our purpose and vision

The Library has a key role to play in equipping the UQ community with the information and skills to thrive in today’s complex information society. Our purpose is to share knowledge, information, inspiration, and joy for learning in a welcoming, accessible space. We aspire to be an agent for positive change and a key strategic partner and connector across the University.

Our values

We share the UQ values of creativity, excellence, truth, integrity, courage, respect and inclusivity. Cultural competency and social justice are core values for us. We acknowledge and respect Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples as the First Australians and we are committed to reconciliation and truth-telling.
