Past exam papers
To support our students with their study and exam preparation, we provide UQ staff and students with access to past exam papers released by UQ Examinations in the last 5 years. These are for exams run centrally and they may be referred to as "central" or "final" exams. Answers to the exam questions are not available.
- Contact UQ Examinations at examinations@uq.edu.au for exams conducted more than 5 years ago.
- For School-based exams and mid-semester exams, contact the School directly.
Option 1: Log in to the Library home page
Log in to see your personalised learning resources on the Library home page. It includes links to past exams, course reading lists, and relevant Library guides for specific courses. You can use the learning resources search box to find courses if yours are not listed. This option is also available via the learning resources option in your Library account menu at the top of each page.
Option 2: Search by course code
Use Library Search from the home page.
- Select Past exam papers from the Library Search options.
- Enter a full or partial course code.
- Click Search.
Example searches:
- ENGG1500 will list past exam papers for that course
- ENGG will list past exam papers for all engineering courses
- EN will list papers for all courses beginning with "EN".
- ENGG* (asterisk for one or more characters)
- ENG150? (question mark for single characters)
Access a past exam paper
- Select the link for an available exam.
- Log in with your UQ username and password if you haven't already.
- Papers will be available as a PDF or as a link to the Inspera exam paper (papers will be listed from most recent to oldest).
If you see only a blank page or Secure Collection notice, clear your browser history and try logging out and logging back in.
Where there is no entry for a year and semester, it means there is no exam paper available because:
- the course was not offered during that semester
- no exam paper has been provided to the Library by UQ Examinations
- the exam was conducted by the School, not by UQ Examinations
- the assessment was by some other mechanism
- it is a recent paper that has not yet been released.
Sample indicates that an actual paper has not been released but a sample paper is available.
