Internet access

UQ students have access to the internet on campus for study and learning. 

Students under 18 require a parent or guardian to complete the Application for Internet Access Permission form.

Wireless internet access from your mobile device

UQ students and guests have different options for accessing wireless internet on campus. Contact us or visit an AskUs service point for help configuring your device.

UQ wifi

UQ wifi is the default wireless network for all University of Queensland campuses. 

Connect your device to UQ wifi on-campus wireless internet.

Eduroam wireless internet

Eduroam is a secure network deployed at numerous Universities and Research institutions worldwide.

Configure your device for Eduroam wireless internet.

You may require UQ's virtual private network (VPN) in some locations such as the Toowoomba and Rockhampton hospitals.

UQ Guest wifi

UQ Guest is a free public wireless internet service for guests supporting UQ activities and events.

Access the internet from UQ computers in the Library and computer rooms 

UQ students and staff will have full internet access when you log in with your UQ ID.

Other users may be able to log in to a Library computer for internet access.

If you are having problems accessing content, ensure you have logged in to UQ Authenticate.
