Supported web browsers

The Library website includes multiple systems and subscribed databases with a range of browser requirements.

Browsers we support

We support the latest version of the following browsers and provide partial support for the previous version.

Supported browsers
Desktop Mobile
  • Android native (Chrome)
  • Apple iOS Safari

If your browser is not listed above, you should still be able to use the site without problems. However, we can't guarantee that the site will work correctly.

JavaScript

Our applications, search systems and many subscribed databases require JavaScript to function. Make sure JavaScript is enabled in your browser.

Assistive technology and accessibility

We aim for a minimum of level AA as defined by the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG 2.2) to ensure access for clients with disabilities.

If your assistive technology supports WCAG 2.2 web content and you are experiencing difficulties, please report the problem so we can investigate.

Refer to our support for clients with disabilities for more information and additional services. You can also read how to navigate the Library website with a keyboard.

Visit Web accessibility at UQ for further information.

External systems and databases

The Library provides access to many different services and databases from external providers. These external systems may have their own levels of browser support but will normally work with a wide range of modern, up-to-date browsers including Chrome, Firefox, Safari and Edge.

Report a problem

If you are having any issues with accessing the Library website in a supported browser, please report it to webmaster@library.uq.edu.au.

Please include:

  • the device, operating system, browser, and browser version
  • the page or pages you were trying to access
  • whether you were on or off campus, and what type of internet connection you were using
  • if possible, a screen shot of the problem.

We will investigate and respond.
