We are delighted to announce the successful Open Textbooks @ UQ grant applications for the first round of 2025! This grant round stood out for the thoughtful and impactful proposals and variety of topics.
About the grants
Our grants include two types:
- Strategic grant ($6000) – This grant is to help support the creation of open textbooks suitable for a large-cohort course, multiple courses, or one that focuses on topics that are strategically important to UQ.
- Create a new textbook ($4000) – This grant is to help authors create a book to use in their course.

Four grants were awarded to:
- Introduction to Software Innovation (Title to be confirmed)

Mrs Kelly Hooper - Theories and Methods for Plan-Making in a Regeneration Context
Dr Sébastien Darchen - Understanding Child and Adolescent Development: A Guide for Educators
