HackAIthon event schedule

HackAIthon starts at 5pm on Friday 13 March and ends at 5pm on Sunday 15 March. Check the following section for the full schedule of activities planned for each day of HackAIthon.

Some sessions are mandatory to attend in order to be eligible for prizes. There will also be time to work with your team over the 3 days of the event.

Our event staff will be available each day to support you.

Friday 13 March

Check the planned activities happening on Day 1 of the event. Our event staff will be available from 5 to 8pm on this day.

Schedule of activities for Day 1
Time	Activity
5 to 5:45pm	Check in - get your name ticked off and confirm your team details. If you purchased a hack-pack ticket, collect your HackAIthon lanyard and merch. You must wear your lanyard to collect included meals. The first 80 hack-pack purchasers will also receive their exclusive hackathon t-shirt. Dinner will be provided for hack-pack ticket holders only.
5:45 to 7pm	Official HackAIthon welcome Reveal of the HackAIthon challenges Essential information Attendance is mandatory.
7 to 7:15pm	Question time
7:15 to 8pm	Team building activities and games
8pm	The day's activities will end at 8pm. You can choose to stay on to work with your team. Make sure you have your UQ ID card for after-hours access.

Saturday 14 March

Check what is happening on Day 2. Our event staff will be available from 8am to 7pm on this day.

7 to 9:30am	Hacking time
9:30 to 10am	Workshop on problem solving
10am to 12:30pm	Hacking time
12:30 to 1pm	Lunch (provided for hack-pack ticket holders only) and networking
1 to 2pm	Creating and Publishing Web Apps workshop presented by the Technology Trainers.
2 to 6pm	Hacking time Book a 20 minute mentoring session to discuss your idea, seek advice and troubleshoot any problems.
6 to 6:30pm	Dinner (provided for hack-pack ticket holders only)
6:30pm	The day's activities will end. You can continue working in your teams as long as you wish. Make sure you have your UQ ID card for after-hours access.

Sunday 15 March

Check what is happening on Day 3. Our event staff will be available from 8:30am to 5pm on this day.

Time	Activity
7:30am to 12pm	Hacking time 10am to 12pm - 15 minute drop-in mentoring sessions available.
12pm	Hacking stops Presentation submissions required by 12pm.
12 to 12:30pm	Lunch (provided for hack-pack ticket holders only)
12:30 to 1:15pm	Get ready for your 3-minute presentation.
1:15 to 3:15pm	Semi-Finals! Attendance is mandatory. 3-minute presentations plus 2 minutes of questions from judges. Top 8 teams make the finals.
3:30 to 4:30pm	Finals! Attendance is mandatory. 4-minute presentations plus 3 minutes of questions from judges.
4:45 to 5pm	Judges' deliberation time.
5 to 5:15pm	Announcement of winners. Attendance is mandatory. Closing remarks.
5:15 to 5:30pm	Celebrations! Official event activities end at 5:30pm.
