Join us on Tuesday 25 November, for Promises, Perils and Possibilities: AI in Research and Scholarly Publishing, a dynamic event exploring how artificial intelligence is reshaping research and publishing.

This event is part of Higher Degree by Research (HDR) student week and is open to HDR students, staff and anyone with an interest in AI.

Event details

Through a series of lightning talks and a panel discussion from experts across UQ, you will:

  • explore the transformative role of AI across the research lifecycle and the scholarly publishing process
  • unpack the opportunities, challenges and ethical considerations of AI in academic research through a series of lightning talks.

Date, time and venue

  • Date and time: Tuesday 25 November from 9 to 11am.
  • Venue: FW Robinson Reading Room and online via Zoom.
  • Register online: seating in the FW Robinson Reading room is limited and bookings are essential. The event will also be livestreamed and recorded for those who are unable to attend in person.

  • 9–9:50am - Lightning Presentations.
  • 9:50–10:30am - Panel discussion and audience Q&A.
  • 10:30–11am - Networking Morning Tea with light refreshments.
