Read and Publish Agreements

UQ authors can publish their research in open-access and hybrid journals covered by Read and Publish agreements without paying Article Processing Charges (APCs). Browse agreements for pre-paid open access publishing and discounts on APCs below.

The publishing charges are bundled into subscription costs paid by the Library. More about Read and publish (transformative) agreements.

How to use read and publish agreements

Read and publish agreements are available to UQ academics, sessional staff and students, adjuncts, UQ honorary, and academic title holders.

Agreements

Read and Publish agreements with Springer Nature, Taylor & Francis and Wiley have reached their caps for 2025. Read our Update on Read and Publish Agreement caps for what this means for you and to review open-access publishing options.

There will be changes to accessing and publishing in journals from 2026. We are monitoring the progress on new agreements.
