We provide accessible learning resources in the form of Word, PDF or html depending on the needs of your students. Students should contact a Student Adviser to discuss their situation and activate UQ and Library Support services.

Request accessible required readings

Submit your requests early, if possible. We try to process requests within 10 working days.

An alternative is the self-service tool that allows you to upload your file for conversion into an alternative, accessible format:

Service conditions

  • This service is available for current UQ students that are registed with student services

  • The service only covers items listed in course reading lists such as books, journal articles and videos that are required readings. It does not cover material such as lecture notes or slides.

  • If the materials provided are in a language other than English, it is your responsibility to ensure the accuracy of the converted material.

  • For video and audio learning resources, we are only able to provide commercially available sub-titles or automated transcriptions.

  • We only provide services that relate to the conversion of course readings. We do not provide content creation services such as translation or description of source material.
