UQ students and staff, and hospital staff members, use document delivery to request:

  • items we don't hold in our collection
  • scanned copies of journal articles and book chapters from our print collection

There's no charge for standard document delivery. Our borrowing rules list the number of requests you can make per semester.

Ways to request

Request via Library Search

Where possible, submit your request via Library Search. The item's details will be prefilled into the document delivery form for you. To do this:

  1. Log in to Library Search and search for the item
  2. Enable Include results not available online, which expands your results beyond our immediately available items
  3. Click the item for full details. In the Get it section, select Request document delivery. The Document Delivery Portal will open with the item details prefilled.
  4. Press Submit

See Request document delivery (YouTube 2m14s) for a short video walkthrough.
