UQ students and staff, and hospital staff members, use document delivery to request:

  • resources not in our collection
  • scanned copies of journal articles and book chapters from our print collection

There's no charge for standard document delivery. Our borrowing rules list the number of requests you can make per semester.

Ways to request

Request via Library Search

Use Library Search to submit a document delivery request using a prefilled form, after logging in:

  1. Search for the resource, and if not already enabled, enable the toggle to Include results regardless of availability
  2. If the resource is found but is not available, open the item and choose Place a request
  3. The Document Delivery Portal will open with the resource details prefilled. Check and adjust the details, and select Submit

See Request document delivery (YouTube 2m14s) for a short video walkthrough.

When a resource is not found in Library Search, a request can be submitted using a document delivery request form.
