Use document delivery to request:

  • items we don't hold in our collection
  • scanned copies of journal articles and book chapters from our print collection

There's no charge for standard document delivery. Our borrowing rules list the number of requests you can make per semester.

Document delivery services currently available

[Updated 20 August] Please note that requested items may be delayed, or unavailable, as many of our supply partners continue to be impacted by COVID-19. Timeframes for requests depend on services at individual libraries, as well as their license conditions.

  • Requests for books (copies and loans) may be significantly delayed.
  • Until further notice, we are unable to provide urgent delivery (Rush and Express requests) except for items from our Warehouse location.

Should we be unable to provide your item, we will notify you by email and close the request. You can contact us to reopen the request at a later time.

It may be quicker to submit requests through Library Search because the item's details will be pre-filled in the form. To do this, use the Request document delivery link in a Library Search result.

How items are delivered

  • Articles, chapters and scanned items: you'll be sent a link via email
  • Books and other physical items: you will be notified via email when they are ready to pick up. The loan length will vary
  • External and remote students should select External & remote delivery as their pick up location to have physical items posted to them

Urgent delivery

We can try to get items that you need urgently. Delivery costs apply.

  1. On the request form, select the Service level as Rush or Express delivery.
  2. Phone +61 7 3443 3010 to notify us of your request and discuss payment.
  3. We will send you an online payment link via email when the request is processed.

We accept Mastercard, Visa and American Express.
