Request resource delivery in Library Search from 28 September

Collections
Published 24 Aug, 2026  ·  5 minute reading time

From Monday 28 September, UQ students, staff and hospital staff members can expect a streamlined and convenient new Resource Delivery form in Library Search to request:

  • resources we do not hold in the Library collection
  • scanned copies of journal articles and book chapters from the Library print collection.

This change is part of our refreshed Resource Delivery service, which supports your learning, research, or teaching.

Request items

From your Library Search results

Following the upgrade, you will be able to request resources using the Place a resource delivery request link on Library Search records pages when you are logged in and:

  • the resource is not in the UQ Library collection
  • you require a scanned copy of journal articles and book chapters from the Library print collection.

Using the updated Resource Delivery Request form

You will also be able to access the streamlined request form from the Request resource delivery (formerly document delivery) page. Enter the resource details to submit your request.

View the progress of your requests

From 28 September, you can access your requests from your Library account in Library Search.

How to prepare

Export your requests from the Document Delivery Portal by 27 September

You can export your past requests. From 28 September, your previous requests will no longer be available.

To  export a CSV file of your completed requests:

  1. Go to the Document Delivery Portal (UQ or Library login required)
  2. Under My Requests, select Completed Requests
  3. Press Export Requests
  4. Choose which fields to include in the CSV file
  5. Press Download

Plan your requests around a short system outage

There will be a short outage on Monday 28 September while we switch to our new resource delivery process. Requests will be unavailable during this time. We will keep you updated via the library website.

Access your requested resources

For resources we have delivered to you via email before the upgrade, they will continue to be available via the link for 30 days or for 5 downloads from the date of the email.
