The University of Queensland Library has one of the largest collections amongst Australian academic libraries and is by far the largest in Queensland.

Our collection includes:

  • 1.25 million ebook titles and more than 1 million print book titles
  • 142,000 online journals and 39,000 print journals
  • more than 750 online databases

This substantial collection is used extensively by UQ clients. In 2016, there were:

  • 9.45 million journal article downloads
  • 6.87 million ebook chapter downloads
  • 276,930 print book loans 

Our institutional repository, UQ eSpace, houses over 280,000 items authored or co-authored by UQ affiliated researchers, including more than:

  • 160,000 journal articles
  • 50,000 conference papers
  • 17,000 theses

43,000 of these items are available open access.
