Rae and George Hammer Memorial Visiting Research Fellowship

The Rae and George Hammer Fellowship was established to encourage Honours, Masters, PhD students, and postdoctoral researchers from universities outside Brisbane to visit The University of Queensland's Fryer Library and use the collection for their research project or paper.

Apply now
Applications for the Fellowship can be submitted throughout the year and will be assessed at the end of March, July and October.

This Fellowship was established by Dr Margaret Hammer in memory of her parents Rae and George Hammer, to commemorate two remarkable people with a passion for History and English, who taught in New Zealand schools.

We are proud to offer students the opportunity to continue the research tradition of the Hammer family at The University of Queensland.
