Participating in Interactive Presentations
Overview
Your course coordinator may use the Echo360 ALP Classroom Tools (tools built into our lecture recording system) to deliver interactive lecture or seminar presentations. You will be able to:
- View your own copy of the presentation online during lectures/seminars;
- Participate in responding to Activity Slides with the rest of the class;
Your course coordinator may also use other interactive tools so that you can:
- Participate in discussions/Q&A by Echo360 ALP;
- Flag slides (by Echo360 ALP) as confusing, which your course coordinator can check during the lecture/seminar or follow up afterwards;
Access an Interactive Presentation
You can access the interactive presentation and respond to activity slides via your laptop, tablet, smartphone or via SMS.
- Access the Lecture Recordings link in your Learn.UQ course using a laptop or tablet (View instructions below)
- Download the Echo360 app directly from the Google Play Store, Apple Store and Windows Store. Refer to the Using the Echo360 App to participate in Interactive Presentations guide for more information.
Note: You need to enter your email address in the format s1234567@student.uq.edu.au)
- Respond to activity slides using an SMS (Text Message) by Echo360 ALP
(you will need to add your phone number to the system).
Respond to Interactive Presentations
Access the Lecture Recordings link
Warning: You may not be able to access lecture recordings if you do not have third party cookies enabled on your browser. Refer to the guide Enable Third Party Cookies for instructions on how to fix this issue.
- In your Learn.UQ course, click on the Learning Resources link.
- Click on the Lecture Recordings link.
View and Navigate the Presentation
- Echo360 ALP will open in a new tab.
- Click on the required lecture or seminar (i.e. Select the correct date and time).
Note: Click on the lecture title (course title) to return to the list of lectures.
- Use the Next Slide and Previous Slide navigate through the presentation.
- Optionally, click on the Screen icon to toggle full screen view on and off.
- Optionally, click on Tile View to view all slides in the presentation.
- Once in Tile View, select a slide to view it.
Respond to an Activity Slide
Note: The below example illustrates responding to a Multiple Choice question (set up as a True/False question). Refer the Responding to Activity Slides guide for more information on responding to all five possible question types.
- Select the correct answer.
- Click on the Submit button.
Note: You may need to scroll or zoom in to view all the options and/or the Submit button.
- When the class has finished responding, your course coordinator will display and discuss the result.
