Freshly renovated spaces will open soon on level one of Central Library and the Duhig Tower at the St Lucia campus.
Level one closed for repairs in late 2020 due to storm-related damage.
Fresh new spaces
Level one will offer more than 380 study spaces with group and individual study options and casual seating. The spaces will be available 24/7 with your UQ ID card.
- Library services and facilities, such as the AskUs service point, the High-Use and Requested Items section and loan returns will return to level one.
- Bookmark Café in Central Library will reopen as well as the student kitchenette in the Duhig Tower with fridge, microwaves and seating.
Featured space
The walkway section of level one Central Library (between Central Library and the Duhig Tower) will get a fresh new look. The space will have a flexible layout of 137 group and individual spaces, many with access to power.

New furniture layout: large round tables (seating six), high tables (seating six), and small individual tables. Fixed benches and booths have been removed.
Other spaces
Other spaces will have a range of study and casual furniture.
