Library public holiday and study break hours, March–May 2024

Library opening hours for our locations, services and collections for Easter, the Mid-Semester Break, and the Anzac Day and Labour Day public holidays for 2024 

Library spaces are closed to members of the community during these public holidays.

Easter public holidays, 29 March to 1 April

We wish you a happy and safe Easter weekend.

24/7 spaces and collections are available with your UQ ID card including the Biological Sciences Library, Central Library, Dorothy Hill Engineering and Sciences Library, Gatton Library and Walter Harrison Law Library. Check our opening hours for details.

AskUs is available via chat and phone from 12 to 5pm on Monday 1 April:

  • Contact us during this time for assistance, or use our contact form and we'll get back to you from Tuesday 2 April
  • Students and staff can also visit the AskUs service point in Central Library on Monday (between 12 and 5pm) using your UQ ID card for access.

Other locations, services and collections are closed.

Mid-Semester Break, 1–5 April

During the break, we will be open as usual from Tuesday 2 April. You are welcome to come in and study or use the collection. Check our opening hours for details.

Anzac Day and Labour Day public holidays

On Anzac Day (Thursday 25 April) and Labour Day (Monday 6 May):

  • 24/7 spaces and collections are available with your UQ ID card
  • AskUs is available via chat and phone from 12 to 5pm. Students and staff can also visit the AskUs service point in Central Library between 12 and 5pm using your UQ ID card for access
  • Other locations and collections are closed.
