‘Stream only’ means faster service

UQ academics and research higher degree students who require off-air content for teaching or research purposes will get access to these programs much faster, thanks to a Library initiative.

Clients who request off-air material will be able to access the content via a link from UQ Library Search, rather than having to wait for the Library  to deliver the content on a DVD.

The service means clients will be able to access the content they need conveniently, on any device.

The Library will trial the new ‘stream only’ approach for three months and then evaluate it, taking into account client feedback.

Clients who want to request off-air content should send an email to offairs@library.uq.edu.au identifying the program title, course code (if required for teaching purposes), broadcast channel, date, time and any important additional information.

Iif you are an academic who requires a DVD for the collection please request this format specifically, otherwise the Library will make the content available by stream only.

The Library delivers content in accordance with the Screenrights licence (Part VA of the Copyright Act 1968). Learn more about the Library’s multimedia service.
