iThenticate is only available to UQ staff and Higher Degree by Research (HDR) students. Undergraduate and post graduate by course work students who access the link will receive an information page about the purpose of iThenticate and who it is available to.

Optionally, you can create an folder to upload documents to and change the folder Originality Report settings.

Upload a document

  1. Access an iThenticate link from learn.uq.edu.au.
  2. Click on the My Documents link or link of the required folder.
  3. Click on the Submit a document link.
  4. Enter the authorship details and the document title.
  5. Click on the Choose File button.
  6. Navigate to and select the required file.
  7. Optionally, click on the Add another file link to upload an additional file. You can upload up to 10 documents at a time.
  8. Click on the Upload button.

View the Similarity Report

It usually takes a couple of minutes for a report to generate.

  1. Click on the similarity score in the Report column to view the Similarity Report.
  2. The report will be displayed in a new tab.
