Having trouble searching the databases? Try these tips.

1. Find the appropriate database

The UQ Library subscribes to hundreds of databases, and there are further databases that are available free on the web. A database may cover a range of publication types or cover only books; or only journal articles and newspaper articles, or only theses.

  1. Go to UQ Library Search
  2. Select the Database drop down search option
  3. Enter the title of the database, or
  4. Select Browse Databases to find databases by subject

UQ Library Search will allow you to search simultaneously across many databases. This is a good starting point, if you do not know which database to search. It is also useful for cross-disciplinary research topics.
