Student experiences of textbooks at UQ

Access to required learning resources is fundamental to positive learning experiences and educational success. Tell us about your experiences using online and open textbooks so we can develop our services in this area.  

Aim of the survey 

This survey seeks to understand UQ students’ experiences with textbooks, including: 

  • whether students are purchasing required textbooks 
  • what features or content students value in open or online textbooks 
  • student attitudes towards open textbooks (Open textbooks are a type of free open educational resource that can be accessed online or downloaded without restrictions). 

Survey period 

The survey will be available from Monday 19 September to Friday 7 October, 2022

About the survey 

The survey is authored by students participating in a Student Staff Partnership with the Library. The purpose of the Advocating for open textbooks at UQ project is to help improve understanding of the role of open textbooks and advocate for their greater use by the UQ academic community.
