Tips for when you visit us

We're still providing the same friendly service to you but you might notice a few changes at our service points.

  • Some services might be online only.  We're still providing IT support but we can't handle your devices. We may assist you online instead.
  • You'll notice physical distancing measures around the desks - like marks on the floor to show you where to queue and stand.
  • Our staff will be happy to help you but we ask you to stand 1.5 metres back from the desk.
  • We're providing hand sanitiser for your convenience.
  • We cannot loan equipment.

Face to face with a little space

You must follow physical distancing guidelines in library spaces,  including when:

  • using our study spaces and group areas - see study space availability for current building capacities
  • booking and using group rooms. Check the room information to find the capacity in UQ Book It before booking a library room.

Stay home if you are sick, waiting on test results for COVID-19, or you have been asked to self-isolate.

Help prevent the spread of viruses by:

  • washing your hands regularly with soap and water
  • avoiding sharing objects like phones, keyboards, and pens
  • cleaning equipment after use
  • when coughing and sneezing, cover your mouth and nose with a flexed elbow or a tissue (throw away the tissue immediately and wash your hands)
