As part of UQ’s AI Student Hub, we’re building a video library created by UQ students, for UQ students. This is your chance to show how you use artificial intelligence (AI) to enhance your learning, share creative tips, and help your peers. Whether it’s using AI tools to organise your study schedule, summarise reading notes, or brainstorm ideas, we want to see your original approach.
- Showcase your creativity and knowledge to the UQ community.
- Help other students learn how to use AI effectively and responsibly.
Each approved video will receive a $30 electronic Prezzee gift card!
What’s involved?
Create and submit an engaging video of 3 minutes (or shorter) that:
- demonstrates how you use a specific AI tool to support your learning
- explains how the tool adds value to your studies or work (e.g. efficiency, organisation, creativity)
- emphasises that AI supports—not replaces—your learning.
Examples of great video ideas
- Using ChatGPT as a “study buddy” to quiz yourself.
- Summarising lecture notes with Microsoft Copilot.
- Planning a group project with AI tools like Claude.
- Creating your own AI agent for a specific course or task.
Watch Language Learning with LLMs (YouTube, 3m 05s), made by UQ engineering student, Kyuss, as a great example of the type of video you could make:
Submission and selection process
- Create your video: Use your phone, laptop, or editing tools you’re comfortable with.
- State your name, who you are and what you do (degree, work, etc).
- Demonstrate a use of AI and how this use contributes to your studies.
- Keep it short, simple and authentic. Have clear audio and visuals but it doesn't need to be a professional production.
- End with a summary reflection and take away message.
- Include a final slide that acknowledges the AI tools and other content you have used in the video.
- Check your video meets the requirements in our video submission checklist.
- Submit your video via the Student-led AI how-to videos form (opens in a new window). You will be asked to upload:
- your video (or share a link to your video in OneDrive, Google Drive etc that allows download)

- Review: Our team will review submissions for clarity, accuracy, and responsible use.
- Approval: Once reviewed, your video will be uploaded to UQ Library YouTube and shared via the UQ AI Student Hub. We will contact you to let you know it has been approved and to give you the $30 electronic gift card.
