Searching databases using EndNote

Search and export from database

We recommend:

1. use a database's own search and selection systems to find articles
2. then export from the database to import the references into your EndNote Library

Endnote database search (option)

We recommend that you do not use EndNote to search databases.
While this feature is promoted by, and is available in, EndNote, there are limitations to its effectiveness:

• Restrictive search options compared to databases' own website
• Clumsy system for selecting references to include in library
