Student enrolment

At UQ all student information and enrolments are handled by a system referred to as mySI-net. The system supports student-related activities across all campuses including admissions, enrolments, examinations, degree progression checking, as well as the calculation and charging of fees. It is also the repository of a large amount of data about the University's courses and programs.

This is an important system for all students as this is where you enrol and track your studies while at UQ. Below is a video that takes you through the entire process of enrolling for courses and completing necessary sign-on for classes.

Task Wizard

The first time you log in to mySI-net, you will be presented with the Task Wizard. This list of simple tasks must be completed before you can enrol in your courses. It will appear every time you log in until you have finished each task.

Timetabling

There are two ways that you can see your Lecture and Tutorial timetable. mySI-net has a built-in timetable viewer that will show you your timetable for the courses you are currently enrolled in and the classes that you have completed Sign-On for. To see your timetable in mySI-net click on the Enrolment and Timetable tile in mySI-net and select Timetable Home Page from the left side menu.

You have the following options:

  • The Classes Weekly View displays your timetable in calendar style from Monday to Sunday. It will only display semester (non-intensive) enrolled courses.
  • The Classes List View lists all of your enrolled courses – including intensive courses.
  • The iCalendar Download will download your Timetable in a format supported by a large number of calendar applications.

Additionally, UQ has a timetabling app that you can use to load in your enrolled courses or just view the timetable of any course. Note: the timetabling app does not actually enrol you into a course. See the video above to see it in action and find a link to it above.

How do I log in?

Once you activate your student account, you can log in to mySI-net. Log in through the myUQ Dashboard or directly through mySI-net

If you don't have a username and password, contact the Student Centre. If you are having problems logging in, visit AskUs in the UQ Library

How do I enrol?

Get started by logging in to mySI-net, then:

  • Go to ‘Enrolments & Timetables’ > ‘Enrolment Summary’ > ‘Add Course’.
  • Type in a course code and check details (campus, location, semester etc.)
  • Go to ‘Add Course’.

Repeat these steps to enrol in your other courses.

If you encounter any problems, contact your faculty or visit the Student Centre.
