Use bibliometrics (metrics) evidence to support your grant and promotion applications. There are two ways to get metrics:

Track and measure your metrics

We provide worksheets for UQ staff to track and measure:

  • General metrics
  • Metrics for National Health and Medical Research Council (NHMRC) Investigator Grants.

Training and support

Attend metrics training through UQ Staff Development to understand metrics and how to track and measure them:

Contact your librarian for assistance tracking your metrics or to organise tailored training for researchers in your area.

Request a metrics report

You must have a full and accurate list of your publications in your UQ eSpace profile for us to compile a metrics report.  A curated ORCID ID is also recommended and may speed things up.  Your librarian can provide advice on this.

Individual researcher

Submit a request for a metrics report.

  • Requests take 10 or more business days to complete.
  • Contents of the report will vary by discipline, career stage and purpose of the request.

  • names, affiliations (for non-UQ researchers) and ORCID IDs of the group members
  • purpose of the request
  • your timeframe.

We will contact you for further information and to discuss your request.
