Collection overview

Our theatre collection includes material from significant playwrights and theatre groups from Australia. The Eunice Hanger papers contain Australian plays, radio dramas and serials. The Max and Thelma Afford collection consists of drafts, typescripts, recordings and press books of Max's classic radio plays from the 1930s and 1940s. It also includes albums of the stunning, innovative costume designs of Thelma Afford. The Maxwell Dunn papers include radio series, radio documentaries, publicity booklets and script ideas from this Australian playwright and producer.

The Fryer Library does not hold the performance or reproduction rights for plays in the collection.
