Welcome to UQ Library!

Welcome to the Library, your place to study in-person and online at UQ. Whether you're a new student this semester, or you haven't had the chance to visit us on campus before, we are here to help you with your studies. Get started with these five handy tips!

1. Check out services for students

Our Services for Students page is the place to find all the information you need about what the Library can do for you.

Check out the page, browse and bookmark useful links, and log in to your personalised homepage.

2. Discover your learning resources

We are your place to access resources for your courses including books, journal articles, databases, videos, and websites.

Visit Course reading lists to start your reading.

Subject guides are a good place to start your research. Written by our librarians, subject guides contain suggested resources in your subject area, like books, journal articles, websites, and more. We also have guides for all the main referencing styles used at UQ.

Visit our YouTube channel for short learning videos like Evaluating information sources (YouTube, 3m06s).

3. Level up your skills

Use Digital Essentials to improve your digital and study skills. Our easy-to-access modules cover topics such as UQ systems and how to communicate and collaborate online.

Visit our how to study online page for tips to stay focused and organised.

You have free access to LinkedIn Learning through the Library. Learn new software and skills at your own pace. We also run free training for students throughout the semester, including:

  • Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint and Excel)
  • Adobe (Illustrator, InDesign, Photoshop, Premiere Pro)
  • Other research-related software.

4. Get assistance from the Library

Need help? AskUs!
