UQ students or staff with a disability, or a person acting on their behalf, can quickly convert documents or images into more accessible formats with our easy-to-use online tool.
You can convert:
- inaccessible documents such as image-only PDF files, JPG pictures, and PowerPoint presentations into more accessible formats
- files into a range of alternative media including audio (MP3 and Daisy), eBooks (EPUB, EPUB3 and Mobi), and digital Braille.
Create accessible files
Visit our Convert files into alternative formats page to get started:
- Enter your file, URL or text
- Select a file format
- Select file settings
- Provide your UQ email address.
The accessible file will be sent to you via email.
How accessible formats could benefit you
This tool can help you create formats that work best for you, for example create:
- an accessible tagged PDF for use with a screen reader
- an audio version of a file to consume the content more easily if you have low vision
- documents that work with a number of Braille systems.
