Central Library and Duhig Tower update

Some services and resources at Central Library and Duhig Tower have been relocated temporarily due to recent storms. Levels 2-4 of Central Library and levels 2, 4 and 5 of the Duhig Tower are open as normal.

Level one of both buildings is closed until 2021 for repairs. We are working hard to get these spaces open again soon!

Building access

Level one of Central Library and the Duhig Tower is closed for repairs. Please do not enter this worksite. Follow all signage and guidance from UQ staff and safety stewards.

Access these buildings via their level two entries. You will need to go around the buildings:

  • Central Library: use the front entrance near Forgan Smith Building
  • Duhig Tower: use the entrance from the Great Court near Merlos.

Visit our services for clients with disabilities page for more information on accessible pathways and other accessibility information related to this temporary change.

Alternative study spaces

There will be some noisy work during the repairs. Additional study spaces are available 7am-10pm, Monday to Friday, at St Lucia campus during Semester 2. The UQ Centre will also be available as a study space during exams from 2-20 November.
