Returning library loans in Central Library

As part of new spaces in Central Library that opened in September 2019, where you return your loans has changed. This post explains where to return your loans in Central Library.

Return your loans on level one

There are two return locations on level one:

  1. Return shelves in the High-Use and Requested Items section
  2. Return chutes.

High-Use items and document delivery

High-Use items are high demand items, such as learning resources (required and recommended course readings) available on 24-hour loans.

Items requested by document delivery are items borrowed from another institution for your use.

Return high-use, document delivery and oversized items by placing them on the return shelves in the High-Use and Requested Items section on level one of Central Library.

The items will be checked back in automatically. You will receive a confirmation email.

Return other items

Return general loans using the return chutes on level one.

The Book Machine will check the items in and then sort them for return to the shelves.
