24/7 study space, level 3, Dorothy Hill Engineering and Sciences Library

Level 3 of the Dorothy Hill Engineering and Sciences Library has been transformed into 24/7 study space. This post describes the type of spaces available.

Level 3 re-opened on 25 February 2019. This change is part of Library upgrades to provide more spaces and better facilities for our students.

Facilities

Level 3 contains a mix of individual and group study, including:

  • 250 powered study spaces
  • 50 spaces with library computers
  • 7 group meeting rooms (book a room online)
  • Multifunction printers

24/7 access

Your UQ ID card is required to enter this space after hours. Touch your card to the reader for entry at:

  • the main library entrance on level 2
  • the external entry to level 3 from the Hawken building

Engineering and sciences collections

  • Visit the High-Use and Requested items section on Level 2 for Learning Resources and to collect requested items.
  • The General Collection formerly on level 3 has been moved to Central Library and is available 24/7 with your UQ ID card.
