Library Orientation Week events 16-20 July

We have a range of great O-week events, join a library tour or a session about your Student I.T. systems for a head start.

Schedule of events, Orientation Week, Description below.

Library tours

1hr tour, 10am, Monday-Friday during O-week.

Meet some of our Library team and discover the resources, facilities and services the Library offers.

Guided tours commence from the Level 1 foyer of Duhig Tower (building 2) at 10am.

Introduction to Learn.UQ (Blackboard)

1hr class, 9am and 1pm, Monday-Friday during O-week

An essential introduction to the UQ eLearning system Learn.UQ (Blackboard). The course explains how to access the online components of your course and demonstrates Learn.UQ collaboration tools, electronic assignment submission and e-Portfolio.

Computing at UQ

1hr class, 10am and 2pm, Monday-Friday during O-week

A useful overview of I.T. services for students provided by UQ and the UQ Library. The course covers:

  • UQ study management applications
  • UQ Library technical facilities
  • Computing support provided by UQ Library
  • Data storage
  • Accessing the internet at UQ
  • The range of online training available to UQ students at Lynda.com.

Eduroam, mySI-net & my.UQ help session

1h drop-in session, 12pm, Monday-Wednesday during O-week.

Assistance to setup Eduroam, enrol, or adjust your enrolment, using the mySI-net online enrolment system, and enquiries about using the my.UQ student portal. Drop-in and get assistance at any time during the session.

Library O-week classes are held in Training room D217, Level 2, Duhig Tower (building 2).
