Digitised UQ calendars from 1911 to 1970 are now available via HathiTrust Digital Library. The high use of this resource meant that they were the ideal candidate for digitisation.
The UQ calendars hold all sorts of interesting information about the university including, course information, timetables, information about staff, various committees and meeting times. For example, you might be interested in what was going on at UQ 100 years ago. And the Library rules from the 1918 publication provide some very interesting reading. In particular, rule 3A states:
“The hours at which books may be borrowed shall be from 12 noon to 1 p.m., and from 2.30 p.m. to 3.30 p.m.”
Hmmm, how times have changed.
Although, some things stay the same in rule 5F:
Why not explore the UQ calendars yourself.
