Access to the Library over Summer Semester

Wondering if you'll have access to the UQ Library over the Summer Semester and end-of-year break? It will depend on whether you're a continuing student or starting your studies in 2018.

Continuing students

  • If you are a continuing student, you will have uninterrupted access to the Library during Summer Semester 2017/18 and end-of-year break, provided you have enrolled in Semester 1 courses by 18 December. If you enrol after this date, your access will be restored on the next business day.
  • You don't have to be enrolled in Summer Semester courses to be considered a continuing student.

New students

You will have access to the Library three weeks prior to the start of semester. You will be considered a new student if:

  • you are a new undergraduate or postgraduate student with enrolments for next semester
  • you graduated and completed your programme last semester and you are enrolled in courses for the coming semester
  • you have previously had a library record that has expired, or if you have withdrawn or interrupted your studies
